No doubt, everything is expensive here, lol. People usually opt for fixing their own house problem, car and etc. there are plenty of TOOLs shops that you can find over here. All kinds of tools and household stuffs, ranging from the smallest to the biggest, the cheapest to the most expensive, the best to the crap ones. I feel like I have been to tools shopping more than clothes shopping. I even helped him by drooling together with him over some expensive good tool that its impossible to get it now and any near future, lol!

Few weeks ago, this ch girl said hi from msn, asking me how am I doing in Fi. Her biggest interest is to know if I have gotten a job and then maybe I can recommend to her, so that she could leave her country and live here. Sorry, I might have created such picture but it could true or maybe not. And then she asked the most significant question.

a: did u get finnish citizenship already?
me: no. I will not get finnish citizenship
a: why wont u?
me: because I want to be Malaysian until I die
a: ok. whats ur identity now? foreigner married finnish citizen?
me: immigrant :D (maybe she is confused with all those terms; citizenship, pr and etc)
a: do u enjoy the same welfare as local citizen? like medical care...etc
me: i dunno, nothing special
a: i know that u got paid though
me: I always wish that I dont fall sick and be healthy all the time. so I dont need to see any doctor. its not free after all for medical. you still have to pay half of it

I was almost shit in my pants when I went to the doctor the other day. Yea, I went to the private clinic (because Im so frigging rich!...uhh). First I didnt know that you need to pay anyway even if you cancel the appointment last minute. So I went there anyway. At the counter, the clerk asked me if I have appointment with this doc. I had no idea. I managed to make an appointment by myself through the phone 4 days ago in finnish. All I knew was the day and time and the rest I didnt get it. In the doc´s room, I had the very normal medical checkup, the eyes, ears, throat, pulse, breathing and stomach. That was all. I seemed to be fine and healthy. Then came the bill, 45€ for the checkup for 20 minutes (yea sounds like its quite true as I called and asked them last week for the price), then came another bill, 25€ for the medical certificate or papers (ok, i didnt know that that cost something too). Felt disgusted, I couldnt even calculate anymore. I went to the counter for payment, the bill was 80€ (hmm, 80€ could be my 2 visits to grocery stores per week). At home, I checked the receipt and found out the extra 10€ for administration fees. I feel as if its difficult and unconvinient to go doc in here that I wish that I wont be going there of ten and keep myself healthy.

So, I had graduated from Finnish Language Level 1 last friday. And now, Im having summer holiday for 1 month. yippee!

Minulla on kesälomaa yhden kuukauden.

I think I had an interesting day today. Course is going to end tomorrow. Me and L went to the city center during our lunch break to buy some gift for our teacher. the day was warm and beautiful. On the way, I met with iga´s grandparent. Spontanously, I went over to greet them (in Finnish) and talked abit (in Finnish too...boasting :P lol).

After getting the stuffs that we wanted, we headed back to the library quickly as we were getting late for class. On the way, I met with Ilona, my previous teacher, her husband whom I´ve known too and their son.

For the last class of the whole course, we headed to the park for our last lesson. but before that, our teacher bought us ice cream. Ok, I felt as if this was the only day I felt totally awakened and cheerful during the course. Must be because I will be having holiday pretty soon, lol!

After class, I went for shopping even knowing that I might be broke soon. Just got myself a pair of sandal. Yea, sale is going on now. Then, I headed back to the library because I need to use the internet. Sat at the corner with my book, I dozed off for few minutes. Then, came a guy from nowhere...

a: Hi, do you speak english?
b: yes
a: are you from china?
b: (ok i had 2 braids today) No
a: where are you from
b: msia
a: would you like to have tea with me?
b: (I was thinking is he really a finn? wahhaha) Sorry no, because Im going to the doctor´s soon.

Which was true, I had an appointment with the doctor at 17:00. Sorry to that guy, because I wasnt hesitate to say no to the invitation and I didnt use any nice word to reject him, lol! I know it would be nice to talk to some unknown people. But never know, he might be some pervert or maybe just having a good intention.

Half past 4, I headed to the clinic. It was my first time. I know that its good and wise to bring your finn spouse along if going to this kind of places but I dont think my spouse will do that for me because he would say that I just need to deal things by myself if the case is mine and he doesnt get into his mind that its good to have him there when visiting some official places so that there will be no language barrier and they cant cheat me. Well, I would say that I had a young and good looking doctor to entertain me, lol! I couldnt help myself to smile in my heart when he came out from his office to greet me. I was cleaned ok! Anyway, I was totally fine and healthy.

Arrived back at 7pm and Im tired.

Currently, I have interest to have this in my list of things that I want to own in the future(when Im rich). it looks cool, dont you think?

Its really nice to be outside all day during summer if there aint any mosquitoes. I would want to sleep at my yard and hoping the bird wont shit on my face, lol!

Midsummer Bonfire
It´s really hot!

Its the longest day of the year in the northern hemisphere. In here, the central of the land of the thousand lakes has 19 hours and 57 minutes daylight with visible light of 24 hours. Sunrises start at 3.20AM and sets at 11.18PM. Tomorrow the day is starting to get shorter until mid-december. Its start with 56seconds shorter.

Summer Solstice Bonfire
Let´s burn away the old spirit and evil spirit. Welcome the new spirit and hope!

After home alone for 1.5 days, I got a call that I needed to go south for an event. It was my first train trip to Riihimäki and the ticket cost a bomb, lol! I have a simple student card, just a piece of paper stating my name, course and date. I showed the lady at the counter if I could use it. Without even looking at it properly, just 2 seconds briefly glance, she sternly said no! Then later, I found out that the next monday, the train workers are going for a work strike. No wonder! lol!



My anoppi fetched me from the train station to the event place. At there, I found out what was the real event about actually.



It was a world championship. So I assumed it was a big and international event. My poor Iga was looking suffering from the sunburn and standing the whole day, guarding at the main gate to the paddock. We greeted with each other a hug and a kiss.

The next day, I was put on duty with him as this was my first official working in a big event. I really know nothing about anything, lol! Basically I just stood there with him, looking at people, looking at cars and vans and when spectator came and asked me something, I said ´you can ask that guy over there in yellow west´ lol!


Anyway, it was a 2 days fun for me...hehe. yea right, when I had to stand under the rain, strong wind and it was really cold.

I was home alone since yesterday late evening for the first time. It wasnt that bad after all since its summer. Kinda stressed for sudden as Im going to have this finnish big test which was today and i had not study much yet. Too tired, I just briefly looked through all the papers and I went to bed at half past 12. In the morning, I was absolutely tired and the test wasnt that bad at all, not that difficult except the last page that had long texts.

It just felt like Friday so much. Maybe because the big test was all over and I was thinking about relaxing at home. Back at home, I watered the plants right away after I got home. Time passed by so quickly today. Played my restaurant game, warmed the water for shower, did laundry, putting the plants into bigger pots, made some food for myself and soon going to sleep.

It is really nice when the night is short or is there any darkness? Since the sunset is getting later and later. My dinner time is getting later and later. And my sleeping time is getting later and later as well. 3 days in a row, I only had 4 hours of sleep. And today I couldnt take it anymore. I was too tired, too hungry, dizzy, shoulder jam and all. Tomorrow I will have finnish big test.

On sunday, we decided to go for a short nearby fishing trip on last minute. We left around 9.30pm. We cycled a few kilometers to a nearby lake. They said Finland is a flat country. I hope that I do know what does that mean because I just cant see it as a flat country. There might be some hilly places here and there. Perhaps, many, lol! We arrived at the lake around 11.15pm and spent 35 minutes at there. Nice place!

weather is such a big topic in here. it has been a good true spring/summer weather for 2 or 3 weeks. the temperature hit up to +27C, that was the highest it had been. What a good introduction! And then it was raining and winding for the past few days. the temperature dropped to +10c and all of us were freezing cold. thus, it did showed to all the first timer foreginers here that its true that finland is a cold country even during summer, lol! Anyway, thin gloves and scarf are still useful during this time. dont keep them away!

As I said before that I want to meet and know anyone who has been to malaysia or who is going to msia or who can speak malay. Finally, it was a dream come true. I met a finnish woman who had been to msia and she can speak a little bit of malay. I also knew a finn woman who just came back from her msia trip. She loved MLK, lol!
